Subject: Economic Rescue Plan “National Anchor of Salvation” for American working class
Honorable Mr. President, when you give the rich, the working class only receives the payment for their day’s work, for those that have jobs. This is because from the rich we pay our electric bills, mortgages, vehicles, insurance premiums, food, clothes and more. This is why we have to help the working class, so that they can spend and the businesses can sell because if the working class does not have any money to sell how are the corporations going to sell?
For this reason, our purpose is to present the aforementioned plan to activate the American economy in a fast and efficient manner, because the $734 billion that were given out did not reach the nation’s working class, instead helping the Banking, Real Estate, and Automobile industries. This is why there is currently no money circulating. Our plan consists on giving a fifty to one-hundred thousand dollar incentive to each family tax-paying citizens of this nation who work to enhance this nation. Each family who files their income taxes would receive these one-hundred thousand dollars.
This plan is only for those people earning less than 250 thousand dollars a year. This is not as much money as has been already spent on other groups. It would immediately move the national economy, since the lower classes are losing their homes, cars, jobs, & small businesses. These men and women with their labor have made this nation great. More than three million people lost their jobs in 2009 and by Dicember 2010 more than 17 million people will be unemployed while the unemployment index has risen to 11.2. Furthermore, more than two-hundred and eighty thousand small businesses have closed and more than twelve thousand will close in the period between January and Diciember 2010. The great British economist John Maynard Keynes postulated that demand and the internal market had to be stimulated to get countries out of recessions.
With all due respect, we present to you and your team this proposal for your consideration. This will allow for those who receive the $50,000.00 to $100,000.00 incentive to buy new homes or save their current homes, pay their car payments or replace their repossessed cars, pay their credit card debt, or any other accounts that need to be paid. Others will start their small business and those with their business will stabilize their status with this incentive. Moreover, students will be able to pay for their studies or create a business while they are still in school. Others will spend the incentive on different articles allowing the money to circulate and the economy will revive rapidly.
Your Honor, we the common citizens have faith in God but also in you since God has put you in these harsh times as the leader of this nation. You have been chosen by God to help the dispossessed but also to the hardest working men and women. You know what it is to be an immigrant, to be poor, to be discriminated against, not have medical insurance, and not to be able to send your son or daughter to college because of lack of money. As the Bible says “He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD…Blessed is he that considereth the poor” (Proverbs 19:17; Psalm 41:1). The common citizen or the working class is who provides the working strength that maintains alive the economy of this country and needs the economic help as a right that only the large corporations have enjoyed. This working class is who has enriched not only the coffers of this nation but also the families of the most powerful. Today the common citizen, the working class, cannot provide the essential to their families due to the mismanagement of the nation’s goods by the hands of your predecessors and executives without scruples.
Helping giant corporations has proven ineffective in benefiting the nation as a whole or its economy; instead, a select group of individuals who are far from knowing the real difficulties and sacrifices the working class is going through to provide the essential to their own. Through this plan of aid, a strengthening of the economy will be produced as well as benefitting in other aspects. The possibility of reaching a college education for young parents and children with aspirations and the creation of small businesses, which not only benefit the businessman’s family but also the families of those employed by these newly established businesses and those already functioning business that will receive an injection of capital.
Our proposal:
The 2008 IRS income tax records show that 42,242,629 people earn $250,000.00 or less and 7,225,926 people with small businesses who also earn $250,000.00 or less, totaling 49,468,555 people that earn $250,000.00 or less. These 49.5 million people paid a total of $3,839,043,568.00 to IRS in taxes.
Therefore $100,000.00 for ten million families would benefit 50 million people (assuming five members per family) totaling one trillion dollars (or 500 billion dollars if $50,000.00 are given out). We have already used more than this, 700 billion dollars for bankers and real estate, 34 billion for the automobile industry, your proposed 980 billion dollar new plan, and more than a trillion dollars in Iraq, totaling 2.714 trillion dollars. None of which has reached those who are really in crisis, the working class, since all of those that have been aided all make from $350,000.00 to millions of dollars a year.
As you say Mr. President, “yes we can!”
A good idea in the implementation of this plan would be to give the incentive for the upcoming 2011 income tax season.
